Atelier

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Atelier is a personal dress try-on service: a companion website and a Chrome extension that let you see clothing on your own photo, keep your fittings in one place, and ask an AI stylist. This policy explains what data Atelier collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Atelier is currently offered as an invite-only pilot.

In short: we collect only what's needed to create and store your try-ons — your account, the photos you upload, and the items you try on. Your photos and garment images are sent to our AI providers solely to generate your try-on image and stylist replies. We never sell your data, and deleting your account erases your photos and generated images.

Who is responsible

This service is operated by the Atelier pilot team. For any privacy question or request, contact purnamallepaddi98@gmail.com.

What we collect

The extension itself stores only your session token (so you stay signed in) and a local cache of your default photo for fast display. It does not read pages in the background — it looks at a product page only to help you try an item on when you use it.

How we use it

We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

AI providers & sharing

To produce try-ons and stylist replies, the relevant images and text are sent to third-party AI services that perform the generation on our behalf:

These providers process the data to return a result to us and are subject to their own privacy and data-handling terms. We share your data only with providers needed to deliver the feature you requested, and with no one else.

Where your data is stored

Your account, profile, uploaded photos, and generated images are stored on our backend server. Photos and generated images are served only through access-controlled routes tied to your account — they are not public.

Retention & deletion

You are in control of your data. In Settings you can remove individual photos and fittings, or delete your account, which permanently removes your account together with every photo and generated image we hold for you. You may also email us to request deletion.

Security

Passwords are hashed, access is authenticated with a session token, and images are served only to their owner. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a pilot service.

Children

Atelier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
